Crane’s Mill is an all-inclusive style retirement community. What that means for our residents is that amenities like dining, transportation, and live entertainment are fully included—akin to an all-inclusive vacation, there’s no need to carry extra cash.

What may surprise you is that housekeeping is also fully included. Every other week, at a scheduled time, a member of our environmental services staff visits your apartment or cottage for a general housekeeping session, and typically some friendly conversation.

Also, once each year, there is an “annual cleaning” for every apartment, which involves extra staff members and includes moving furniture and cleaning exterior sliding doors, just to name a few items on the long checklist.

You might see residents on the Crane’s Mil bus heading to food shopping, pharmacies, malls, movie theaters, museums, New York City … the list is endless! With transportation fully included, our residents realize it’s the best way to get to where they need to go.

In addition to fun excursions, scheduling a trip for a doctor’s appointment is a breeze. Once a resident has an appointment set, they simply call down to our transportation department with the time and date, and can rest assured in knowing that the Crane’s Mill mini-van will be there to pick them them up at Towne Square, drive them to the appointment, and take them home when they’re finished.

Home Maintenance—Completely Taken Care Of For Crane’s Mill Residents (Smiles Included!)

Did you know that Crane’s Mill residents enjoy full maintenance services included in their monthly fee? Everything from hanging photos and changing lightbulbs to repairing and replacing appliances is our responsibility.

Picture this scenario: your dishwasher stops working. Not being an appliance expert, you have no idea why it’s ceased operation, so you call a repair company or the manufacturer, schedule a visit, and usually with a few days or a few weeks (and sometime between 9 and 1, or 1 and 5, or 9 and 5!) the person comes, fixes the problem, and sends you a bill. OR they take a look and advise that it would be cheaper to replace the unit, and you head to the store to order a new one. All the while, you’re washing dishes by hand.

Now, picture the same scenario, but you’re a Crane’s Mill resident: your dishwasher stops working. You call the concierge, they alert maintenance, and usually that same day someone is there to fix the appliance. If our staff can’t fix it, they’ll replace it, free of charge.

This of course goes for more than just appliances. Our team changes light bulbs in ceiling fixtures, hangs your art and mirrors upon your move to the community, fixes plumbing issues, and so much more. You name it, they’ll fix it (or replace it), and there’s never an additional charge.
