A Poem for Grandparents Day

Crane’s Mill would like to wish all the grandparents and great-grandparents a very happy day!

We owe a lot to our grandparents–from taking the time to listen and teaching us to fish or knit, to┬ápassing us that extra piece of cake, they provide comfort and support in a one-of-a-kind way.

Their stories provide glimpses into days past, before smartphones and twitter made things move so fast.

Some times may have been tough and streets may have been rough, but laughter and love were plentiful and provided more than enough.

You can count on them for a joke every once in a while, and when you need it, a reassuring wink and a smile.

They have their mannerisms, gestures or distinctive ways, they may have their good, bad, or indifferent days.

But today is the day we make sure that they know, we appreciate, love, and respect them so.

So join us today in making a visit, prayer, or call, to say to them now we adore them above all.
