Now Hear This … A Lecture on Hearing and Hearing Loss

Dr. William Aber, an audiologist with over 35 years of experience, will conduct a lecture on hearing and hearing loss. His presentation will include causes of hearing loss, prevention, and the newest advances in rehabilitation, including treatment, surgery and the latest advances in hearing aids. The discussion will also include sudden hearing loss, dizziness or vertigo, and ringing in the ears.

Dr. Aber holds a graduate degree from Columbia University, was a fac- ulty member of the NJ College of Medicine and Kean University grad- uate division. He was the chief audiologist at NYU Medical Center and Mountainside Hospital. He has published many scienti c articles that have appeared in the NY Times and several professional journals.

About our presenters:

Daveed D. Frazier is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with advanced training in spinal surgery and correction of spinal deformities. An assistant clinical professor of orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Frazier is also a respected lecturer, accomplished researcher, and published author on spine disorders and treatment. Dr. Frazier practices at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and maintains an office in West Orange.

Dr. Alexandra Carrer is a physician at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and an Assistant Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Carrer focuses on Minimally Invasive Techniques, Lateral Approaches, Trans Sacral and Endoscopic Procedures with an emphasis on Motion Preservation. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
