It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is only a few short weeks away! How can one focus on turkey, cranberries, and stuffing when the weather feels more like September? In fact, if the thermometer hits 75 degrees tomorrow, we’ll have set a record!
Still, as the sun sets early after the end of Daylight Saving Time, we’re reminded that although the air is warm, the holidays are just around the corner. Before long, we’ll be gathered with family and friends to break bread, exchange gifts, and get caught up on all the goings-on before we head into a new year.
In the meantime, fitness-focused walks are on order for Crane’s Mill residents. The sidewalks around campus provide the perfect way for anyone to enjoy the nearly one-mile lap around campus after a delicious breakfast or lunch in the Heartwood.
For the adventure-minded, trailkeeper Mike Mazur is hitting the woods running, guiding residents through the walking trails leading from our campus and into West Essex Park.
Enjoy these warm days while they last, and keep in mind that even in the deep freeze that’s sure to follow, the warmth of the holidays will arrive on schedule.
