Highlights from the January Crane’s Mill Activity Calendar

Each month, the Crane’s Mill resident activity calendar is filled with an array of, events, outings, classes, lectures, exercise programs, and much more!

Here is a look back at some highlights from January 2014:

As you can see, there are a wide variety of on and off campus activities. For the off campus trips, transportation is included for all Crane’s Mill residents, and on-campus activities take place in Towne Square, so there’s no need to outside to get to great activities and programs.

In addition to the above, there of course are many “standard” goings on throughout each month, such as the Sunday Night Social, Happy Hour each Thursday, religious services, card games, puzzles, morning, afternoon, and evening movies, BINGO, support groups, trips for errands and shopping, movie theaters, and many more ways for Crane’s Mill residents to stay active and engaged.

Crane’s Mill Hosted Healthy New Year Event

Crane’s Mill, a continuing care retirement community in West Caldwell, sponsored a kick-off to a healthy New Year on January 15, 2014 for residents in the West Essex area. The program featured a healthy lifestyle theme, with an emphasis on diet and exercise.

Presenters included: Evelyn Minolfo (second from right), registered dietitian at the ShopRite of West Caldwell; and Maestro David Dworkin (center), of CONDUCTORCISE. After a lively presentation on healthy eating, participants enjoyed a natural and invigorating upper body workout while listening to the music of John Philip Sousa, Johann Strauss, and Mozart.
