Did you know that transportation is included for all Crane’s Mill residents? It’s just one of the many amenities that makes Crane’s Mill a leader in senior living in Northern New Jersey.
If you live nearby, you may have seen one of the Crane’s Mill buses at Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, The Mall at Short Hills, or even places like the Paper Mill Playhouse, The Morris Museum and more!
As long as the trip takes place on a Crane’s Mill bus, transportation is 100% included for our residents. That covers the scheduled “local errands” and entertainment trips above, but also includes 4 doctor visits per month within a 10 mile radius of the campus.
When you come to visit, you’ll see that many of our residents are active drivers. But even those who get behind the wheel almost every day will take advantage of our transportation services when the weather isn’t so great, or if they’d like to join a group trip.
Opened in 2010, our Creekside expansion added a number of wonderful apartment and cottage options for those seeking luxurious senior living in Northern New Jersey at Crane’s Mill. Among them is The Ravine, featured here in our latest Apartment Home Showcase.
The Ravine is perfect for those looking for an airy floor plan ideal for both entertaining and relaxing evenings at home. Boasting 1,274 sq. ft., The Ravine features a large living/dining room, two bedrooms, two full baths, full kitchen, washer and dryer and spacious screened-in balcony.
In addition to the wonderful photos below, we’ve included the floor plan so you can start to imagine your own furniture adorning this spacious apartment. (Pay particular attention to the closet space—it’s tremendous. Just click the “FS” button in the corner to see full screen.) Then, be sure to see The Ravine in person by calling us at 973-276-3001 or simply click here to send us an email.
We love going to the farmers market—you can always count on getting the freshest fruits and vegetables. But what if the farmers market came to you? Sound too good to be true? Every Wednesday, Crane’s Mill residents enjoy that very privilege.
Right in Towne Square, our outstanding dining services team has arranged to have a selection of newly picked produce for our residents to peruse.
There’s fresh corn, bright blueberries, succulent strawberries, whole watermelons…take a look at today’s selection for yourself!
What’s the first thing we do when we get up in the morning? Typically, we head to the bathroom to get ourselves ready for the day. At Crane’s Mill, in each master bathroom there is a small button that’s part of our “I’m ok” system.
The “I’m ok” system adds a sense of security and peace of mind for residents and their family members. Here’s how it works:
Each morning, we ask that our residents simply push that button to let our concierge know that you’re up and at ’em. Should a resident not press the button by a certain time, our concierge will make a phone call to make sure the person is ok. If there’s no answer, our team will go to the person’s apartment or cottage and knock on the door.
The “I’m ok” system truly is a great way to make sure everyone at Crane’s Mill is enjoying the retirement they deserve—one that’s full of fun and friends and free of fretting.
We were so excited when we read this week’s edition of The Progress, one of our fine local newspapers, and found a letter to the editor from Caldwell resident Mr. Bill Farrar. In the letter, Mr. Farrar thanks the staff at the Crane’s Mill Health Center for their care and support—a truly wonderful review for the rehabilitation services at Crane’s Mill.
Mr. Farrar, like many in our area, was faced with a decision about where to do his needed rehabilitative care and chose Crane’s Mill. The staff in our Health Center is truly outstanding, and more and more people from outside of the Crane’s Mill campus are coming to Crane’s Mill when a rehab stint is necessary.
This story really emphasizes a huge advantage of living at Crane’s Mill: there is an on-site Health Center, so in case anything should happen, you can do your rehabilitative care right on campus and still be connected to the family and friends you love. Plus, you’re only steps away from your home, and can enjoy all of the fine amenities you’re used to while getting the care you need.
